CLAT 2018 – NUALS Kochi (The National University of Advanced Legal Studies Kochi) conducted CLAT 2018 on May 13. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2018) was held online across India in around 65 examination centres. CLAT Result 2018
NUALS Kochi has declared the result of CLAT 2018 on May 31. Candidates can check their scores as per CLAT 2018 results through their registered CLAT accounts. The CLAT result mention All India Rank (AIR), State Rank (SR) and Category Rank (CR) of the candidates besides the scores they have secured in Common Law Admission Test 2018.
CLAT Scores 2018
Candidates can find score of CLAT 2018 along with their answer keys and response-sheets of Common Law Admission Test. CLAT 2018 score is the marks obtained by candidate as per their responses marked in the online CLAT 2018. CLAT 2018 merit list (rank list) specifies a total number of test takers, their scores, subject-wise marks and State Ranks (SRs) besides AIRs and CRs. CLAT Cut off 2018

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates are required to read and understand eligibility criteria of CLAT 2018 as specified by the law examination committee. Knowing CLAT 2018 eligibility criteria is important because these are the prerequisite norms defined by CLAT 2018 Committee for the candidates who are appearing in the NUALS Kochi administered law admission test. The CLAT eligibility criteria mention minimum academic qualifications and the percentage of total marks beside age bar required for applying for the law programmes; undergraduate and postgraduate. Following common eligibility criteria of CLAT 2018, candidates appearing for UG law programmes need to qualify 12th board examination (Intermediate examination) of 10+2 educational system, scoring at least 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects studied at 10+2 level. Further according to the CLAT 2018 eligibility criteria, those who are appearing for PG law programmes need to have an LL.B degree with a minimum score of 55% marks in the final year of law degree examination. Moreover, as of now, there is no age bar for those applying for five-year undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programmes through CLAT 2018. However, as per an earlier CLAT 2018 eligibility criteria and change in admission policy after a BCI order (2016), candidates were needed to be equal to or less than 20 years of age if applying for the UG law programmes through common law admission test.
CLAT Counselling 2018
The examination committee is to begin counselling of CLAT 2018 on June 7 as it’ll declare CLAT 2018 counselling schedule in the month of May, soon after the CLAT results are declared. Candidates who qualify in the law admission test are to participate in CLAT 2018 counselling based on their AIRs or the State Ranks. The CLAT counselling process involves choice locking and seat allotment process. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their choices of locked seats in the participating 19 NLUs. After the seat allotment, candidates will need to accept the seat and deposit the fees within a given time; else the seat will be deemed to get cancelled automatically. Candidates will be offered three options during the CLAT 2018 counselling–lock, shift or withdrawal of seat. The exam committee then will be holding next round of counselling for CLAT admissions. Following the method, as many as four CLAT 2018 counselling rounds will be held till July 6, 2018, for offering admissions in the law programmes across the National Law Universities.
CLAT Seat Allotment 2018
Candidates are to be allotted seats in the participating NLUs as per CLAT 2018 seat allotment process, which forms an important part of CLAT 2018 admission counselling. If a candidate accepts the allotted seat, he/ she needs to deposit the requisite amount of fee within a given due date. The seat will be automatically forfeited, in case of non-deposition of fees. The exam committee will be issuing next seat allotment list only after the admission has been conducted based on the previous list. There will be as many as three such CLAT 2018 seat allotment lists published.
CLAT Participating Institutes 2018
A total of 19 National Law Universities are participating in CLAT 2018. The list of CLAT 2018 participating institutes also mention various law schools besides the NLUs which accept scores of the common law admission test. As per the CLAT participating institutes’ list, the 19th and the latest addition is Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Aurangabad and the 18th was Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur. Candidates appearing the law admission test vie for the NLUs including NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata and NLIU Bhopal which are the most preferred NLUs by the law aspirants and are the founding member of the CLAT committee.
CLAT Seats and Reservation 2018
The Common Law Admission Test is conducted for offering admissions to around 2400 seats in the undergraduate law programmes and 624 postgraduate programme seats. The admission committee follows government policy for reservation of CLAT 2018 seats. While some of the NLUs have seats reserved for candidates possessing state domicile, each of them have the other seats reserved for the distinctive categories- Other Backward Class (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). CLAT Admission Process 2018
Aspirants seeking admission into five-year integrated undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes in the 19 NLUs need to appear for CLAT 2018. The admission process of CLAT 2018 begins with examination notification and availability of CLAT application form. CLAT Application Form 2018
NUALS Kochi had announced CLAT 2018 application form on January 1, 2018. Aspirants could fill the online application form of CLAT 2018 only after registering themselves for the common law admission test. CLAT 2018 registrations were processed after candidates provided a valid e-mail id and mobile number during CLAT 2018 registration. The CLAT application forms 2018 could only be filled online after logging into an application form window through CLAT 2018 registered account and password. Further, the candidates also needed to pay an application fee of Rs. 4000 before submitting the form as per the CLAT 2018 admission process. Most importantly, candidates are advised to take care that CLAT 2018 application form needs to be filled and submitted through the online application process before the scheduled last date, after which no application form of CLAT 2018 can be anyway accepted.
CLAT Exam Centres 2018
CLAT 2018 exam centres had been announced by NUALS Kochi as the exam will be held to be held in over 175 testing locations across the country. Exam centres of CLAT 2018 list out those cities across India where online examination of CLAT is to be held on May 13, 2018. With the CLAT 2018 exam centres, candidates can have a fair idea to choose their city for taking the NLU admission test. Applicants will be communicated about their respective admission testing venue through their CLAT 2018 admit cards. CLAT Admit Card 2018
The NUALS is the Common Law Admission Test conducting body which released the CLAT 2018 admit card on April 26, 2018. Earlier, students were to get the CLAT Admit Card 2018 on April 20, 2018. But due to some technical reasons the date got postponed to April 26. CLAT applicants could download their admit cards of CLAT 2018 by entering login id and password through an official link. The CLAT 2018 admit card was considered hall ticket to appear in the law admission test, therefore it was important to carry CLAT admit card (hall ticket/ e-admit card) at the examination centres. It should be also noted that no candidate were allowed to take the law admission test without the CLAT admit card (hall ticket). The CLAT admit card mentions candidature as well as examination details including name and roll number of the candidate, timing and venue of the examination. Further, it is also advised to CLAT 2018 applicants that they should keep CLAT admit card 2018 in soft as well as hard copy formats for future correspondences as after the examination has been conducted no duplicate CLAT 2018 admit card will be generated or downloaded.
How to prepare for CLAT 2018
- Candidates need to first focus on completing their basics for each of the section.
- Every candidate has his/ her own strengths and weaknesses and should work on them.
