PGIMER Chandigarh has declared the result of PGIMER 2018 result on May 14, 2018, i.e. within 24 hours from the date of the examination. Candidates can now access their result of PGIMER 2018 online. PGIMER Cutoff 2018
The cutoff of PGIMER 2018 entrance will be in the form of percentile scores. Candidates, who will secure the prescribed minimum PGIMER 2018 cutoff percentile, will be considered qualified for admissions to PGIMER 2018 MD/MS degrees. Different categories need to secure different minimum cutoff percentiles in order to qualify. PGIMER 2018 cutoff for different categories can be checked below:
- General and Sponsored/Deputed candidates need at least 55 percentile to qualify for admission.
- OBC, OPH, SC/ST, Rural Area, Foreign Nationals need 50 percentile at the minimum to qualify.
- Bhutanese Nationals need to obtain at least 45percentile to qualify for admission.
PGIMER Seats and Reservation 2018
PGIMER will take admissions to 196 seats in total spanning across 20 MD/MS departments for July session admissions. Candidates can check here detailed tentative tally of seats available as per different courses and different categories. It must be noted that PGIMER also reserves some percentage of seats for different categories.
PGIMER Counselling 2018
PGIMER 2018 counselling will be conducted in three counselling sessions, depending upon the availability of seats. The counselling for MD/MS courses starting in July 2018 session will begin from June 15, 2018, with first counselling round. The second counselling round will be held on July 12, 2018. Final and third round of PGIMER 2018 counselling will be held on July 25, 2018. The allocation of seats in various courses of MD/MS will be done strictly in the order of merit ranks and marks scored in PGIMER 2018. The number of candidates, who will be called for first counselling, will be approximately three times the total number of seats available.
PGIMER Admit Card 2018
PGIMER Chandigarh has released the admit card of PGIMER 2018 for July 2018 entrance exam on May 2, 2018. PGIMER 2018 admit card has been released in online mode. Candidates can now download their PGIMER 2018 admit cards by logging into their accounts with their login IDs and password created at the time of application submission. All the necessary details such as exam centre, time of the exam, etc. will be mentioned in PGIMER 2018 admit card.
Kindly note that no admit card will be sent by post. Thus, admit card/hall ticket will only be accessible via online mode. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam premises without a valid PGIMER 2018 admit card. Along with this, it is also mandatory for candidates to carry a valid ID proof to the exam hall.
PGIMER Exam Pattern 2018
PGIMER 2018 will be an objective examination. PGIMER 2018 exam pattern is as follows:
- PGIMER 2018 will be a pen and paper based examination.
- It will consist of 250 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with five alternatives and one or more correct answers for each question.
- There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The exam will be for the duration of three hours.
- The syllabus will pertain to the subjects taught during MBBS.
PGIMER Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates, who wish to appear for PGIMER 2018 entrance exam, they must fulfil the eligibility criteria of PGIMER 2018 laid down by the exam conducting authority, i.e. PGIMER, Chandigarh. If any aspirant fails to fulfil any of the specified PGIMER 2018 eligibility criteria, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the examination. PGIMER 2018 eligibility criteria include:
- Educational Requirement- Aspirants must have passed MBBS from a university or institute recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).
- Internship Requirement- It is essential that the candidate completes his/her one-year rotary internship training on or before June 30, 2018, for admission in July 2018 session. Those aiming for January 2019 admissions, they will be required to complete their internship on or before December 31, 2018.
- Other Qualification- The candidate must be registered with Central or State Medical Registration Council.
PGIMER Application Form 2018
The PGIMER 2018 application form for July session started on March 15, 2018. The last date to fill the application form of PGIMER 2018 is April 16, 2018. When a candidate is filling the application form, they are advised to read the eligibility requirements carefully before filling PGIMER 2018 application form. Application form can be filled and submitted online only.
The application fee of PGIMER 2018 is INR 1,000/- for General and OBC candidates, and INR 800/- for SC/ST candidates. PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee. It must be noted that payments will be accepted through bank challan only. No other mode of payment such as debit card, credit card, net banking, etc. will be accepted under any circumstances.The last date to pay the application fee will also be in the third week of April 2018 tentatively.

PGIMER ENTRANCE EXAM APPLICATION DETAILS
- Candidate should fill his/her online application form available at the university website.
- He/she should fill all the columns of the form such as name, date of birth, educational qualification, mobile number, in-service category etc.
- After filling application form the candidate should deposit the application fee through Challan form (triplicate) in any branch of State Bank of India.
- The Challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account No. 32211613319.
- Candidates must note that no other form of payment of application fees like Demand Draft, Bank Cheque, Money Order, Postal order, etc. will be accepted.
- The candidates should ensure that they take a printout of the application form after completing all the details.
